My Training Queue Doesnt Continue While Logged Off Eve

Today my skill training queue stopped for no apparent reason 3 times (2x on alt, 1x on this char)! I was logged in the whole time, but the character sheet was never open when it stopped, so i didnt stop it myself by accident. I only noticed it because the character sheet icon was flashing (like when you change skill queue).

Fix this ASAP please, i dont want to waste training time while logged off.

This happened on two of my accounts. Those accounts came up for auto-pay today. I suspect this is a side effect to the "ghost" training resolution recently. Could CCP bill out a couple of hours earlier on auto-pay or at least wait till downtime to kill training? I don't know. Still, I would like the lost SP on those two recurring accounts, please and thank you. Rarilmar

Mine just stopped according to my ccp eve app.

I just happened to be checking eve online news 24 website and saw this:

Also, if you are using multiple training certs it paused all of the characters on the account not just the main. You will have to log on each one to restart it. Very annoying. Verish Coros

people pay subscription for 30 days a month, not 29, and getting screwed on your own money is one of the worst you can get on these games
not reimbursing ALL lost skill points will lead to more people leaving the game, which eve can't really afford right now, buy hey, with the latest changes in the game, eve going the way wow went years ago(greed way), i wouldn't be surprised we wouldn't get anything back
imagine those who don't log in days or weeks, losing all the training
also, gotta love how the launcher is filled and only used to promote own ****, make more money, or the in game announces to get more viewers for their lousy twitch show, god forbid they use them for something actually important like this Aerious

This is an off-the-cuff guess, but I'm betting a developer decided to code a quick check to see if an alpha clone was training an omega skill, and set it to pause the skill queue.

The developer decided to use one of the documented API calls (status of subscription) that got deprecated recently: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=520641&find=unread

And, thus since the API call returns the account as expired instead of giving an error....

We have this, where all accounts (Omega or Alpha) get paused.

Shame... Can I have your stuff? If you really were an engineer you would know that we do not live in a perfect world and that things do go wrong. CCP has actually owned up in the past and even implemented a system where they can return SP (they had to when they removed "Learing" skills). So un-bunch your panties and pull them back up and just have a bit of ******* patience.

People these days have no patience, everything has to happen "NOW! My impatience/entitlement demands it!"... ffs.

On a more educational note;


  • affects = The event affects you.
  • effects = The que pausing was an effect of something unknown..

So the correct use in your sentence should have been "affects". Mr/Ms "Engineer"

I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

CCP has consistently reimbursed SP for mistakes like this in the past. In the past, when they have reimbursed SP, they have generally done it for all active accounts, even if the account wasn't affected by the issue.

But don't let me stop you from finding the door.

Step 4: Get on the tube (which are 24 hours now)

I just restarted mine manually; first was stopped at 00:41 today - or that's when Eve app on Android says "no skill in training" (of a 360 day queue).

I just found this thread after filing my petitions. Sorry if redundant. Two accounts were stopped.

The issue here isn't those who were able to restart their queue. I'd bet CCP comes in with 50k unallocated SP to make people whole. The bigger issue is those players who don't know to check and manually restart the queue, or are not able to login (vacation, military deployment, etc.) for whatever reason. Even if CCP can restart queues from their end, some queues were apparently wiped. How they deal with those issues is a much bigger problem.

At this time I can't see a report of this in the bug report queue - can someone who is experiencing this issue please provide me a bug report number? (EBR number, found here - https://community.eveonline.com/support/bug-reports/my-bug-reports/)

I have just got into work and discovered this error - not home for 8-10 hours; will paused omega accounts be restarted by you (CCP)? If not, please can you notify me as soon as possible, so I can make arrangements? If they legitimately had their account subbed while they were away, even if it took them 6 months or perhaps even a year before they got back to their computer. If they were to petition the issue, I'm sure CCP would sort it out.

Can we stop making a big deal about hypothetical ways in which CCP can screw their customers out of SP here, when in the past this is one of the areas where CCP has nearly always made things right in the end? There are plenty of things to complain about when it comes to CCP, but reimbursing skill points when they screw up and players lose training time as a result of it, is not one of those things.

It is quite unfair that you can train omega skills and at omega speed on unsubscribed accounts.
This actually forces people to do the same if they don't want to stay behind of others.

Some people run hundreds of characters this way - generating almost 1.7b per character or income at monthly basis.
Declare it as exploit - as without this you are sanctioning this as another game mechanic.

I've passed in on to channels where people claimed this occurred. Hopefully they file a bug report. It was less common than the queue pause, but several people commented about it randomly happening.

Amen. I just returned to the game after a ~3 year break and was rather shocked (in the most clickbaity kind of way) to hear of this exploit with the whole skill injectors thing.

(Personally I'd rather see the skill injectors gone. I've paid for my account on and off since January 2004, to train skills, and have always thought of the skills queue as an immutable factor - that you have to spend the time to train the skills, it's not something you can buy).

Went to work and made a app check, one of my Omega's that I restarted was 'paused' again :-(
Now it's active but a other of my Omega's are now 'paused'.

I just logged on and saw both of mine were stopped so I restarted them and came here to see if it was a me problem or a general problem.

Manual restarting seems to have worked so I'll wait and see what happens next. I had just enough dual training to get an alt freighter going but I'm not sure that I do now.

"Currently working on" does not mean the same as "deployed and all cases resolved" - sorry if there was confusion.

Same here. Two accounts were stopped. I happened to log in after reset and they were turned off again. Even after starting my que it kept shutting off. Watermouse Grey
